Taking advantage of the large footprint, the home plays with the scale of the rooms to give the family a variety of spaces upon which to lounge, snug, entertain, cook, chill, work and go about their daily lives.
The ground floor is completely devoid of any internal walls except for a dark Valchromat-clad ribbed box which houses all utilitarian needs (WC, utilities, and in-built storage).
The same concept is followed downstairs in the 3m height basement. From there, a double-height atrium lets you see both dark clad boxes linking the living areas in both levels.
The box hides other features – like the sliding folding doors that can be pushed completely out of sight. This level of flexibility provides the family with the option to use the spaces openly for entertaining or enclosed for a more intimate feel.
